Background:

In the rapidly evolving domain of private aviation services, effective user engagement and targeted marketing strategies are paramount. The client, embarking on the launch of a new private aviation mobile application, recognized a critical need for a robust data system that could not only enrich user profiles but also refine sales strategies through improved lead scoring. The mobile application’s success was contingent upon its ability to attract high-net-worth individuals while simultaneously streamlining the follow-up process for sales teams. The project aimed to integrate complex data streams from the app with existing CRM capabilities, positioning the client for immediate impact and long-term scalability.

Challenge:

As the project commenced, several significant challenges were identified that needed to be addressed to facilitate the successful integration of wealth intelligence and lead scoring metrics. Initially, the HubSpot CRM was populated with contacts from mobile app sign-ups, yet these lacked actionable wealth insights critical for sales follow-up. There was no automated process implemented for incorporating wealth data into lead scoring. The absence of a direct integration pipeline to ingest user data from the Firebase app into HubSpot further complicated the situation. Therefore, a comprehensive strategy was required to establish custom fields, a new data model, and an effective enrichment workflow that could transform anonymous app users into qualified leads within a short timeframe.

Objectives:

The client required the development of a WealthEngine enrichment utility within HubSpot and a seamless connection to Firebase mobile app user data. This included the population of custom wealth fields, automation of lead scoring based on wealth indicators, and delivering a scalable data foundation for personalizing app user engagement. The project needed to be completed within approximately 6–8 weeks, aligning with the app’s mid-December launch.

Solution:

To address the client’s needs, a multi-phased approach was devised, emphasizing the seamless integration of WealthEngine and Firebase data into HubSpot CRM. Phase 1 focused on the Discovery & Architecture, wherein data fields, enrichment criteria, and scoring inputs were finalized, mapping the necessary structures between HubSpot, Firebase, and WealthEngine. This step ensured compliance with data protection standards and system requirements. In Phase 2, the WealthEngine API integration was executed, which involved creating custom fields for wealth and scoring criteria in HubSpot, supported by robust API handling to manage potential errors and logging effectively. Phase 3 established a secure synchronization process between Firebase user data and HubSpot, enabling real-time updates to user profiles based on registration and activity. Lead scoring rules were outlined in Phase 4, integrating wealth factors designed to identify high-value leads efficiently. The final Phase 5 ensured a rigorous testing regime prior to deployment, validating functionalities through test users and meticulous documentation to prepare the sales team for an effective rollout.

Results:

Upon successful implementation, the newly integrated WealthEngine enrichment utility transformed how high-net-worth individuals were identified within the HubSpot CRM. The automated processing of Firebase app user data allowed for instantaneous enrichment of user profiles, which significantly improved lead scoring accuracy. Sales teams found themselves empowered with rich insights and comprehensive data that guided their follow-up strategies, allowing them to prioritize the highest-value users effectively. Not only did this lead to an increase in conversion metrics, but the setup established a scalable framework that the client could build upon in the future with predictive scoring models and additional data sources, thus ensuring the long-term relevance of their customer engagement strategies.
